QM Associate Scientist

Job Summary The QM Associate Scientist will perform laboratory testing, data analysis, and documentation activities to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Execute routine and non‑routine quality control (QC) testing on raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products according to established SOPs and specifications. Handle hazardous materials, including chemicals and infectious agents, following safety and company policy. Possibly perform testing of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB) and other organisms requiring Biosafety Level 3 containment, adhering to strict safety protocols. Operate in a clean‑room environment, meeting validation requirements for donning and doffing suits, gloves, masks, and other PPE. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration, troubleshooting, and ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Document all results and observations accurately on test sheets and electronic systems (SAP). Assist in investigating out‑of‑specification (OOS) results, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions. Participate in the development, review, and revision of SOPs, test methods, and other quality‑related documentation. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the quality management system. Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, GLP, and company policies. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including manufacturing and scientific operations. Work in any QC laboratory without a permanent assignment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or another related Life Science discipline (preferred). Minimum of a laboratory‑related certificate from an accredited institution (required). Minimum of one year practical experience in a microbiological or medical‑technology laboratory (preferred). Strong understanding of GMP, GDP, GLP regulations, and quality management systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. Good problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. Required Skills Laboratory testing and data analysis proficiency. Knowledge of SOPs and laboratory safety procedures. Experience with equipment calibration and maintenance. Documentation skills using test sheets and electronic systems (e.g., SAP). Root‑cause analysis and corrective action recommendations. Continuous improvement mindset within a quality management system. Collaboration across departments. Salary Hourly rate: $27.10 – $43.40 USD.
