Technical Specialist Role

This entry-level engineering role requires the ability to independently apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to solve complex power system problems using professional judgment.

• Protection Settings & Analysis : Design and manage protective device settings across multiple manufacturer platforms.
• System Studies & Modeling : Conduct short-circuit analyses, coordination studies, arc flash assessments, and fault investigations using industry-standard simulation software.
• Regulatory Compliance : Develop and review verification reports to ensure alignment with standard regional grid reliability and protection mandates.
• Project Support & Design : Apply engineering standards to design ground grids, size transformers, perform load flow studies, and support system lighting and relaying tasks.
• Coordination & Communication : Collaborate with project engineers and clients to maintain project schedules, manage document control systems, and occasionally visit field sites.

• Education : Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• Experience : No prior experience required.
• Technical Knowledge : A strong foundation in power system analysis and protection principles.
• Key Skills : Exceptional organization, strong computer proficiency, high attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
• Travel : Ability to travel up to 10%.
