This position requires both hands-on operational expertise and the judgment to manage complex documentation, ERP transactions, and carrier relationships with minimal supervision.**Core Values:** For every TuscoMFG associate, the single most important responsibility is to adhere to our three core values: Respect, Accountability, and Initiative.**Job Summary:**The Warehouse Specialist owns the accuracy and efficiency of all inbound and outbound material flow. All duties are executed within Epicor ERP; this role directly influences the company's primary monthly KPI: On-Time Delivery. The position demands deep competency in inventory control, carrier management, and shipping documentation, paired with the communication skills to serve as a reliable point of contact for both internal teams and external clients. Occasional travel may be required for seminars, supplier visits, or related functions.**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Own end-to-end verification and documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments, confirming descriptions, quantities, weights, and measurements against bills of lading, packing lists, sales orders, and related records.* Receive incoming goods, process receipts in Epicor, and distribute materials to designated warehouse locations in accordance with established procedures.* Ensure outgoing goods are shipment-ready by verifying alignment with sales orders and executing proper packaging, palletization, labeling, and documentation.* Execute shipment preparation and carrier coordination using established procedures and carrier guidelines; prepare pack slips, Bills of Lading, labels, and required photo documentation; escalate non-standard requirements as appropriate.* Maintain inventory accuracy as a standing responsibility, ensuring physical stock matches the Epicor database through regular cycle counts, bin transfers, and discrepancy resolution.* Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for client shipping inquiries, order status updates, and carrier communications.**Daily Duties*** Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.* Prepare all shipping documents with great attention to detail.* Affix shipping labels and identifying information onto packed cartons, crates, containers, and pallets.* Post weights and shipping charges.* Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to move, convey, or hoist shipments to or from the shipping and receiving platform.* Unpack and examine incoming shipments; reject damaged items, record shortages/overages, and correspond with shippers to rectify damages.* Receive damaged or defective goods returned by customers via the RMA process.* Route items to appropriate departments.* Maintain the inventory of shipping materials and supplies in a Kanban system.* Track UPS/FedEx parcel shipments from the previous day to confirm pickup and initial scan.* Other duties as assigned.## **Periodic Duties*** Monthly: Maintain the inventory system to ensure physical inventory matches the database.* Annually: Participate in annual physical inventory counts.## Qualifications## **Education & Experience*** High school diploma required.* Minimum 3 years of related warehouse/shipping experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Inventory control experience including establishing and maintaining Kanbans encouraged.* Working knowledge of 5S and Lean manufacturing principles a plus.
