Manager, Operations

Position Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and logistics operations within a fast‑paced third‑party logistics (3PL) environment. This role ensures efficient execution of inbound, outbound, and inventory processes while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service. The Operations Manager leads a team of associates, drives performance, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to meet operational and client expectations. Key Responsibilities Manages daily warehouse operations including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, and returns Leads, trains, and motivates a team of warehouse associates to meet productivity and accuracy targets Monitors workflow and staffing levels to ensure optimal labor utilization and schedule adherence Ensures compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA standards Tracks and reports key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, order accuracy, on‑time shipping, and inventory accuracy Identifies operational issues, troubleshoots problems, and implements corrective actions in real time Supports inventory control processes including cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution Collaborates with customer service and clients to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality Assists in workforce planning, including scheduling, attendance management, and performance evaluations Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred 3–5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in a 3PL environment 1–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Ability to analyze data and make informed operational decisions Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing operations for multiple clients in a 3PL setting Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures Work Environment Fast‑paced warehouse/distribution center environment Exposure to moving equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks Requires strong attention to safety and operational detail Compensation DP World offers a market‑competitive compensation package for this role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
