Adjunct Faculty, Developmental Reading – Department of Critical Literacies, Technology, and Multilingual Education (CLTM) – College of Education Job No: 501660 Work type: Temporary Part‑Time, Regular Part‑Time Location: Glassboro, New Jersey Categories: Faculty – College of Education This is a part‑time adjunct position with the possibility of renewal on a term‑by‑term basis. We are particularly interested in candidates who can teach courses in our reading/literacy programs. We offer two developmental reading courses for Rowan students depending on their Accuplacer score: Improving Personal Reading Skills and Critical Thinking and Reading of Academic Texts . Both courses focus on comprehension strategies, vocabulary development, study skills, and decision making across a broad spectrum of academic majors. Compensation In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as‑needed basis.
