Seeking an experienced Night Pharmacist to provide critical pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting. This role requires a strong background in hospital pharmacy practices, with responsibilities spanning order verification, supervision of pharmacy technicians, and collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Location:
- Cottonwood, AZ
- Hospital size: approximately 100 beds
- EMR system: Cerner
Schedule:
- Night shift
- 7 consecutive nights on, 7 nights off
- Shift hours: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently during night shifts
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and safety standards
- Consult directly with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapies and adjustments
- Manage pharmacokinetics and dose adjustments as needed to meet patient-specific requirements
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state laws, and regulatory standards during all activities
Qualifications:
- Active Arizona Pharmacist license is required
- Proven hospital pharmacy experience, ideally with night shift exposure
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR systems preferred
- Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions during overnight hours
