We are seeking an experienced and quality-driven automotive technician to fill an open position in our service department. Our ideal candidate will be confident running diagnostic equipment to identify and complete automotive repairs to electrical and software systems. Compensation:$40,000 - $83,200
Responsibilities:- Create protocols for tracking diagnostic tests and repairs, acquiring necessary technical manuals, and more throughout our dealerships
- Use diagnostic equipment, technical expertise, and the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic systems to identify and determine the cause of malfunction codes
- Facilitate customer satisfaction and repeat business by following all manufacturer specifications for vehicle systems repairs
- Ensure a straightforward repair process by clearly communicating systems issues and repairs
- Follow a checklist-based approach to comprehensively examine all vehicle systems, such as the engine, transmission, air conditioning, and brake systems
- Strong customer service and communications skills are needed
- Automotive service technology training program completion or equivalent years of experience is required; associates degree is a bonus
- High school diploma or GED is required
- National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or ASE certification is strongly desired
