MS/Tele Float Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time position on the MS/Tele Float unit. This position requires the ability to float to various units, including the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) and the Direct Observation Unit (DOU), depending on departmental needs.

Shift Details

• Shift: Day 3x12 Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
• Start Dates Available: October 13, October 27, or November 10
• Every Other Weekend: Weekend work is mandatory, with additional shifts as needed (please note: Sunday nights are not classified as weekends).

Responsibilities

• Caring for patients within the RN's scope in MS/Tele, ARU, and DOU settings.
• Providing care for patients with complex neurological and joint needs.
• Maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (1:3 in DOU and 1:5 in ARU).
• Adhering to floating requirements based on facility needs.

Qualifications

• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an RN with charge experience preferred.
• Skills:
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Feeding tube care and management
  • Blood product administration
  • Central and peripheral line care and management
  • Starting IVs
  • Non-invasive airway management
  • Tracheostomy management
  • Wound care and management

Working Conditions

• Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 4 patients on day shifts; ratios will vary based on unit and patient needs.
• Interdisciplinary Support Available: IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, and pharmacy, among others.
