To be considered, you must live within commuting distance, as regular in-person collaboration is a key part of the role.Job SummaryThe Senior Global Sourcing Specialist is responsible for leading sourcing strategy, supplier management, and end-to-end execution of product orders across custom hardgoods and softgoods (e.g., vinyl figures, plush, drinkware, totes).This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and is expected to manage complex and high-impact projects while proactively identifying risks, influencing cross-functional decisions, and driving on-time delivery.In addition to execution excellence, this role plays a key leadership function—anticipating business needs, ensuring stakeholder alignment, and holding both internal and external partners accountable to key milestones. This position has the potential to evolve into a people management role, with opportunities to mentor team members and lead direct reports.Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field5–8+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, production on a promotional product/customized goodsAdvanced supplier sourcing, evaluation, and negotiationStrong costing and landed cost analysis expertiseDemonstrated experience managing complex or high-volume programs independentlyExperience working with overseas manufacturers (China preferred)Experience in fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentsPrior experience mentoring others or leading projects preferredExperience with custom products (hardgoods, plush, or similar) strongly preferredJob Skills and TraitsAbility to anticipate risks, questions, and downstream impactsProactive, clear, and timely communication across all levelsProven ability to influence stakeholder decisions using data and business insightStrong ownership mindset with the ability to drive accountability across cross-functional teamsExcellent project management and prioritization skillsAbility to manage ambiguity and lead through changeStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsCustomer-focused mindset with high attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead sourcing strategy and execution for assigned categories or key programsManage multiple and complex projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment to cost, quality, and timeline expectationsProactively identify risks, escalate issues early, and drive resolution to protect production timelines and on-time deliveryPartner cross-functionally (PD, Sales, Logistics, Finance) to ensure alignment on timelines, specs, and deliverablesInfluence decision-making by providing clear recommendations grounded in data and sourcing expertiseHold internal stakeholders and suppliers accountable to key milestones, deliverables, and SLA expectationsDrive supplier selection, onboarding, and performance management with a strategic lensNegotiate pricing, MOQs, and production terms to meet business and margin targetsOversee production timelines end-to-end; ensure issues are addressed before impacting deliveryValidate and manage landed cost (ELC), proactively identifying variances and improvement opportunitiesSupport development and implementation of sourcing SOPs and best practicesMentor junior team members and provide guidance on sourcing processes and executionPotentially manage direct reports as the role evolvesMaintain accurate records of sourcing activities, supplier data, and project trackingDrive continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing and cross-functional workflowsAdditional Details • Travel: Limited, as needed for vendor visits or key meetings • Financial Responsibility: Yes • Strategic Planning: Yes • Direct Reports: None currently; potential for future people managementWhy This RoleThis is a rare opportunity to be connected to our sporting leagues, in creating customized promotional products (think Bobbleheads)You'll join a highly collaborative team who works closely with our design team, and International Vendors in creating customized hardgoodsWhy BDA? If you are hired at BDA, your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. In the spirit of pay transparency, the range listed is the full base salary range for the role and hiring at the top of the range would not be typical, in order to allow for future salary growth. The range listed is just one component of BDA's total compensation and rewards programs, which includes: robust PTO; vacation, a paid volunteer day, holidays and summer Fridays, Benefits; medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, 401k; tuition reimbursement, mental health and financial wellness programs and professional development opportunities including tuition reimbursement.
