Lead Caregiver

Position Overview Work in partnership with the Co-Lead Caregiver to implement a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate classroom experience for toddlers in our Early Head Start program. Provide overall planning and functioning of the day-to-day activities in the classroom that support the physical, social-emotional and cognitive development of each child. Establish nurturing and responsive relationships with all children on the caseload and build positive and productive relationships with parents, encouraging them to participate in all aspects of the Early Head Start program. Responsibilities Lead caregiving activities, facilitate child learning and development, and collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and engaging environment. Support parents in their parenting roles through education and active involvement in the program. Qualifications Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field (preferred). Current Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Experience working with young children in a classroom setting. Additional Requirements Three written letters of reference. OCFS Clearance. Physical with Mantoux Tuberculin test. Valid, unrestricted NYS Driver's License. Ability to perform physical weight‑bearing demands related to the required job tasks. Rate of Pay $18.22 - $21.36 per hour, $700.00 signing bonus.
