About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Global Media Relations to establish and lead its global media function. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing a proactive, narrative-driven media strategy that aligns with business objectives and enhances the company's reputation as a leader in the digital infrastructure industry. This role involves developing strong relationships with a diverse range of media stakeholders, from business and technology journalists to those in policy and sustainability. The VP will also be at the forefront of addressing misinformation in the industry, shaping public narratives, and demonstrating the company's value to various audiences. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 15 years' experience in media relations, with a minimum of 7 years in a leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and leading media relations programs, particularly in complex or highly regulated industries. Essential skills include exceptional media relations, storytelling, and strategic planning abilities, as well as a deep understanding of crisis communications and stakeholder engagement. Experience in digital media monitoring and analytics, and a background in sectors such as technology, energy, or telecommunications, are preferred. The role requires a leader with strong executive presence, the ability to influence senior leaders, and a commitment to fostering a high-performing, global team.
