Physical Therapist Assistant

Role: The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to improve patient well-being, following a plan of care established by a supervising Physical Therapist. Responsibilities: Perform only procedures within training and legal scope, reporting patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT. Instruct patients and caregivers in exercises, gait, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training. Coordinate care with healthcare team members and adhere to all state-specific laws. Adapt to various home environments, ensuring inclusive care regardless of client background. Qualifications & Skills: Current licensure, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy assistance. Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or access to transportation. Availability for weekend rotations. Preferred: CPR certification and ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and assisting with mobility.
