• Coverage: 24-hour orthopedic call shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, on assigned coverage blocks
• Assignment Dates: August 18, 2026 through December 23, 2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,910 - $7,000 per week
• Orientation: Onsite orientation required prior to the first coverage block
• Location: Hancock, Michigan (Upper Peninsula)

• Active ABOS board certification required; NBPAS certification is not accepted
• Active Michigan medical license required
• Active Michigan CDS and DEA required
• Minimum of 1 year of orthopedic surgery experience required
• Experience with arthroscopy required
• Experience with total joint replacement required, including hip, knee, and other joint procedures
• Experience with joint revision or repair required, including shoulder, hip, and knee
• Ability to provide emergency department call coverage and respond to orthopedic consults as needed
• Comfort working in a trauma setting with rotating call responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic call coverage and respond when the emergency department requests a consult
• Evaluate and treat a variety of orthopedic cases, including fractures, sports injuries, and general musculoskeletal concerns
• Perform total joint procedures and manage joint revision or repair cases as needed
• Work collaboratively with orthopedic physician assistants and a full surgical support team
• Deliver efficient, high-quality patient care in a well-organized, flexible operating environment
• Support patient care for typical orthopedic cases while higher-acuity cases are transferred as appropriate
