Recreation Department Administrative Assistant

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide daily administrative support for the Recreation Department, including managing calendars, correspondence, schedules, deadlines, forms, reports, rosters, and program materials.
• Provide professional, welcoming customer service and respond to questions from families, students, staff, coaches, and volunteers regarding programs, schedules, registration, and participation.
• Support program registration and administration, including rosters, waitlists, attendance records, participant changes, and communications for camps, sports, classes, and special events.
• Assist with facility and field scheduling, timekeeping, and preparation for staff meetings, training, and programs.
• Assist with maintaining accurate staff, coach, volunteer, program, supply, and inventory records; assist with onboarding and required documentation.
• Process and maintain financial and purchasing records, including invoices, receipts, deposits, refunds, purchase orders, program revenue and expenses, and supply orders.
• Assist with program communications, including newsletters, flyers, emails, website updates, and timely communication of program information or schedule changes.
• Maintain confidentiality of student, family, staff, and financial information and follow all school policies, safety procedures, and department guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with Recreation leadership and other school departments while supporting the mission and Christ-centered values of Cascade Christian Schools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Agree with Cascade Christian Schools Teaching Statements and Statement of Faith.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, with administrative, office, customer service, or program-support experience.
• Strong organizational, time-management, communication, customer service, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively use registration, scheduling, payment, database, and other department systems.
• Basic financial and recordkeeping skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information appropriately.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, while following school policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed. CPR/First Aid certification required, or willingness to obtain.
• Successful completion of required background screening and other employment requirements, as applicable.
• Commitment to the mission, values, and Christ-centered philosophy of Cascade Christian Schools.
• Additional education or training in business, recreation, childcare, education, or a related field.
• Experience in a school, recreation, childcare, camp, or youth program, including experience with recreation registration or program-management software.

START DATE: ASAP

WORK HOURS: Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (including a 30-minute non-paid lunch) for the 2026-2027 school year. Summer hours for the 2026-2027 school year will be determined at a later date.

SALARY RANGE: $22.00-$26.00
