Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our team. This position requires a strong background in maternal and neonatal care to ensure the health and safety of mothers and their newborns during labor and delivery.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including monitoring fetal and maternal health
Assist in the delivery of newborns and ensure immediate post-delivery care
Implement and follow established protocols for emergency situations
Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, and postpartum care
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
Proficient in Cerner/Fetalink systems
Permanent address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility

Work Schedule

This position requires night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM and is a 13-week contract.
