Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing care, case management, and hospice care to individuals facing advancing age, frailty, and serious illness. The professional in this role will be responsible for comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning within an acute care hospital setting. Strong communication and collaboration with patients, providers, and the interdisciplinary team are critical to ensuring high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Location:Torrance, California, United States

Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care, case management, and hospice care to patients.
- Conduct daily patient assessments and administer medications safely.
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive treatment plans.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate patient charting and documentation using electronic medical records.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (pending licenses are not accepted).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of required experience in hospital, home health, or hospice care.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable automobile for field work.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Prior neurology (Neuro) experience.

Special Considerations:

- Required to float between like units and may be required to float to other designated medical facilities.
- First-time travelers and local candidates are accepted.
- Requested Time Off (RTO) restrictions apply and must be submitted at the time of the initial candidate submittal.
- Work environment is a fast-paced acute care hospital with 356 staffed beds.
- Scrub color is flexible (any color permitted).
- Free parking is available on-site.
