Hometown Plumbing, Electrical, & HVAC is looking for an experienced accounting professional to lead our day-to-day financial operations. Whether you're an established Controller or a seasoned Bookkeeper ready to take the next step in your career, we'd love to talk with you. If you have a strong accounting background and are eager to develop into a Controller role, we'll provide the support and training to help you get there. What You'll Own Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with the month-end close process. Record journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Monitor job costing and profitability reporting. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company accounting policies. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Support payroll by ensuring accurate labor and job cost allocations. Work closely with operational leaders to provide financial insight and improve business performance. Coordinate with the Divisional Controller on monthly reporting, audits, tax preparation, and other accounting initiatives. Continuously look for ways to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency. What You Bring 5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience. Experience managing the full accounting cycle. Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks; ServiceTitan experience is a strong plus. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines. Experience in the home services, construction, or skilled trades industry is preferred. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
