Retail Service Specialist

Join to apply for the Retail Service Specialist role at O’Reilly Auto Parts Overview The Retail Service Specialist supports Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations, and assumes shift management responsibilities in the absence of Manager. Responsibilities Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels and execute programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.). Answer telephone calls in accordance with company policy. Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and contact customers upon shipment arrivals. Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently, following procedure and using the electronic outside purchase order ledger. Process retail customer returns and exchanges accurately, issue refunds using correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly. Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before the product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages, Image Maker, and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure team members adhere to posted work schedule, obtain approvals for deviations, and clock in/out properly. Perform store opening/closing duties, day‑end procedures, secure money/deposits, prepare bank deposits, lock doors, arm/disarm alarms, and secure delivery vehicles. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong communication skills. Ability to obtain RSS Certification. Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts. Automotive systems and repair knowledge. ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Compensation and Benefits Competitive wages & paid time off.
