Quality Inspection Supervisor – Aerospace ManufacturingAT3 Staffing is partnering with a well-established aerospace and defense manufacturer in Lynnwood, Washington to identify a Quality Inspection Supervisor. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity with an industry leader that designs and manufactures highly engineered components used in commercial aerospace, defense, space, and other mission-critical applications.This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization that values quality, continuous improvement, and employee development while working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.Position SummaryThe Quality Inspection Supervisor will lead a team of inspectors supporting receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection activities. This individual will be responsible for ensuring supplier components, raw materials, and finished products meet company, customer, and regulatory quality requirements while supporting daily production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.This role also provides leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to the inspection team while driving key performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, and operational performance.Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, mentor, and develop a team of Quality Inspectors.Plan daily inspection activities to support production schedules and customer commitments.Monitor and improve quality KPIs through data analysis and problem-solving.Oversee First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to ensure compliance with AS9102 and customer requirements.Manage nonconforming material processes and support disposition activities.Participate in hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of inspection personnel.Support new product introductions and in-process inspection activities.Conduct internal quality and safety audits while supporting customer and third-party audits.Assist in developing Quality Technicians and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to resolve production and quality issues.Minimum QualificationsExperienceMinimum of 2 years of experience in aerospace or another highly regulated manufacturing environment with quality inspection responsibilities.At least 1 year of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.Technical KnowledgeWorking knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).Experience with process improvement and quality control methodologies.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Familiarity with manufacturing processes, process controls, inventory/logistics, and project coordination.SkillsStrong leadership and employee development skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.EducationHigh School Diploma or GED required.U.S. Person status required due to ITAR regulations.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree.Certified ISO or AS Lead Auditor credentials. xhyhwjd Experience with:AS9100 Quality Management SystemsAS9102 First Article InspectionCMMs or Keyence Optical Measurement SystemsRoot Cause Analysis and Nonconformance InvestigationsAerospace manufacturing quality systemsNADCAP, MIL, ASTM, or ASM standardsFAA documentation (Part 21, 8130-3)ASQ Certifications (CQI, CQT, CQA, etc.)Work EnvironmentFull-time onsite position in Lynnwood, WAManufacturing and office environmentOccasional weekend support as neededUp to 10% travelAbility to lift up to 25 lbs.Required use of appropriate PPE within manufacturing areasCompensation & BenefitsSalary:$101,817 – $138,945 depending on experience and qualifications.Comprehensive benefits include:Medical, Dental & Vision InsuranceLife & Disability Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysTuition ReimbursementCareer Development Opportunities
