Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience and an active DC RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit (dept 6207)
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract
• Cerner EMR — experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license to practice in Washington, DC — must be active, no pending licenses
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications only
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a US hospital required
• Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Cerner EMR experience required
• US Social Security Number required
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, including a full review of systems, with appropriate documentation
• Delivers individualized, age-appropriate patient care in a competent and efficient manner
• Completes admission assessments within established timeframes per policy and procedure
• CPI certification is mandated for this position — confirm availability at the facility with your recruiter
• Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
