Head and Neck Surgical Physician Assistant

Job Summary Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is seeking to employ a Physician Assistant to join a rapidly growing Head & Neck Oncology Program. Conveniently located on Sarasota Memorial Hospital - Sarasota, the hired Physician Assistant will join an additional PA and two Surgeons. Physician Assistants can participate in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program if employed by the group No state‑income tax Required Qualifications Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Bachelor degree from accredited physician assistant training program Preferred Qualifications Ability to work independently and collaboratively Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills Ability to work independently and effectively with physicians and other allied health personnel in the hospital and/or office setting Demonstrated clinical competency skills Knowledge of pharmacology as it relates to health care practice and current prescription writing skills/DEA licensing Documentation skills in medical records to substantiate accurate billing Effective interaction skills to ensure successful care of patients in the clinical setting Effective leadership and strong interpersonal skills Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, statutes and regulations Knowledge of state, federal and local health care agencies and programs Mandatory Education BD: Bachelor Degree Preferred Education M.D.: Master’s Degree Required License and Certs PA: Physician Assistant Preferred License and Certs ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support BLS: Basic Life Support Employment Screening Requirements As part of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System’s commitment to keeping people safe, all individuals providing care to vulnerable populations are required to undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. #J-18808-Ljbffr
