Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse, located at a community hospital, is responsible for providing specialized perioperative care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role involves supporting a variety of surgical specialties, including ENT, General, OB/GYN, Orthopedic, Urology, and Vascular, within a fast-paced acute care environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license and at least 2 years of OR nursing experience, including surgical procedures outlined in the unit description. Certifications: ACLS and BLS preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with complex surgical cases, familiarity with Epic charting system.
• Responsibilities: Providing comprehensive patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures; assisting surgical teams; ensuring patient safety and compliance with hospital protocols; may be asked to float between main OR and outpatient surgery center.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be available to work weekends at least every other, with some shifts exceeding standard hours to meet unit needs. Must work 3 of the 5 designated holidays. No first-time travelers accepted; local candidates preferred within a 50-mile radius.
