About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department of equivalent size (40+ bed ER, 200+ visits per day) License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required (must be willing to obtain if offered) Must-Have: Recent ER travel experience within the past 6-8 months preferred Must have Level II or III trauma experience Experience with adults and children is required Description: Urgent backfill needed for an experienced Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The role involves providing critical care to diverse patient populations, including adults and children. Candidates should possess a strong background in emergency medicine, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively. Experience with trauma management and various emergency conditions is essential. Applicants should be familiar with managing ventilated patients, administering blood products, and performing advanced life support measures. Skills in triage, procedural sedation, and interpretation of diagnostic tests are highly valued. The facility features a high-volume ER with approximately 200 visits a day, requiring nurses who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and social services, is essential for comprehensive patient care. Candidates must be prepared to work some holidays and provide high-quality care to all patient age groups, including neonates, adolescents, and geriatrics. A successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in emergency nursing.
