Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (9:00 AM–9:00 PM or 11:00 AM–11:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | On-Call Required | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Perform both circulator and scrub roles across a high-volume operating room averaging 22 cases per day
• Provide perioperative nursing care for complex surgical specialties including cardiac, vascular, thoracic, general, robotic, orthopedic, ENT, urology, and gynecologic procedures
• Assist with and demonstrate proficiency in vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting
• Fulfill on-call obligations including one call day per week and one to two weekend call shifts per four-to-five week schedule, with a 30-minute response time requirement
• Utilize electronic health record and medication dispensing systems for accurate documentation and patient safety
• Adhere to all facility infection control, compliance, and safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active WV or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room specialty experience
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing across multiple surgical specialties
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemption with documented allergist or physician record accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in vascular procedures including AV fistulas/grafts, aortic surgeries/bypasses, femoral-to-popliteal or distal bypasses, carotids, and embolectomies
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgery (gynecologic, colorectal, hernia, laparoscopic Nissen procedures)
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records and Accudose medication dispensing systems
• Experience in a Level IV Trauma Center or major acute care teaching hospital environment
