Position Summary The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Internal Auditor I. Prepares audit reports for supervisory review, summarizing the results of the audit work, detailing audit findings, and making appropriate recommendations. Participates in formal and informal training. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree, with coursework in accounting, auditing, business management, computer science, economics, public administration, or other related subjects. Requires completion of an agency's Internal Auditor Trainee program or requires two years of professional auditing experience. Preferred Qualifications Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, or Internal Audit Practitioner certifications. One year of experience auditing government programs. One year of professional auditing experience. Completion of college or university coursework in auditing. Conditions of Employment Requires ability to pass a background check. Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver's license.
