Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position in New Albany, IN, working night shifts with BLS and ACLS certification required.

Details

• Inpatient medical unit in a hospital setting
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) environment
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 36 hours per week, 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Indiana or a compact state currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Previous nursing experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
• Must provide month and day of DOB and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, patient and family education, and facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Nursing practice is evidence-based and guided by hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines
• Delegates tasks to and monitors the performance of other team members within the plan of care
• Actively participates in quality improvement initiatives including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction
• BSN is preferred over the minimum required ADN/ASN
