RN - Pediatric

Pediatric Oncology Registered Nurse

This position is for a night shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a total of 36 hours scheduled and 24 hours guaranteed per week. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required according to department guidelines.

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Oncology Registered Nurse with a minimum of 24 months of experience in pediatric oncology, including recent exposure within the last 12 months. The ideal candidate will exhibit flexibility with locations, shifts, and departments to enhance placement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric oncology patients.
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Assess patient needs and collaborate with the healthcare team to create care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A minimum of 24 months of pediatric oncology experience, with demonstrated competency in the last 12 months.
• Active pediatric advanced life support (APHON) certification from an approved vendor.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization (AHA, ARC, or ASHI).
• No violations on state license to practice nursing.
• A valid driver's license for residency verification.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
