Chronic Pain Anesthesiology Opportunity at Our Organization in Pittsburgh, PA

Our organization is currently in search of a board-certified or board-eligible interventional pain physician who has completed a fellowship to join a well-established practice at our facility located in the Falk Medical Building. This position, affiliated with a prominent university, offers an excellent chance to collaborate with fellow physicians in a cutting-edge environment, engage in inpatient services, and explore research interests, with a focus on .6 clinical efforts for FY27 . The compensation package is competitive and includes salary, performance incentives, benefits, retirement plans, and malpractice coverage. Additionally, there are CME funds available amounting to $4,110 each fiscal year.

About Our Pain Medicine Division

The Pain Medicine Division at our organization is dedicated to a comprehensive approach that encompasses research, clinical practice, and education aimed at assessing and treating a wide spectrum of pain, disability, and rehabilitation issues. Our division employs an interdisciplinary team model, featuring professionals from various specialties, including medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and psychology. This holistic treatment strategy addresses the intricate interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors involved in pain perception and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose pain disorders while developing suitable treatment strategies, including interventions and medical management.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate patients and identify those suitable for multimodal treatment approaches.
• Oversee advanced practice providers and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage.
• Provide coverage for one holiday each year.
• Conduct outpatient clinic sessions in the Falk Medical Building and inpatient rounds in Oakland.

Qualifications

• Possession of a DEA license.
• Certification from the American Board of Anesthesiology in Pain Management.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
