Overview The façade division of this leading building envelope contractor is focused on building industry leading façade solutions for a range of projects and complexities. The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will work with Sr. Project Management and the rest of the project team to help manage project procurement, schedule, budget, production monitoring, logistics and installation activates for a full service façade solution. Responsibilities Assist in day-to-day project activities as required by Sr. Project Management. Maintain comprehensive budgets and project schedules. Monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations. Assist in the preparation of estimates and value engineering analysis during the design process. Assist with coordination of site related issues. Help provide solutions and field fix documentation for execution and As-Built drawings. Assist in the evaluation, analysis and selection of equipment, tools and rigging required to install curtainwall scopes. Review site safety plans and help communicate and administer specific requirements. Maintain project tracking logs for % complete, change orders, RFIs, submittals, site deliveries and critical material shipments. Maintain Project Status Reports and participate in weekly internal project status meetings. If assigned to a job site, author and submit Daily Field Reports and labor ticket summaries. Enter and track Purchase Order Requests. Review material takeoffs for accuracy and completeness as prepared by the design department. Work with Estimating on budget takeoffs and vendor pricing as part of the Bid to Budget process. Review and coordinate field and shop requirements for product crating/packaging. Create plans and drawings for field logistics such as crating plans, installation sequence diagrams and field equipment layouts. Review shop drawings and coordinate critical aspects of details with production and installation teams. Maintain and update Scopes and Jobs defined by a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) within the company project tracking system. Coordinate schedules and deliveries with field installation team and general contractor as required. Attend weekly site Contractor Meeting as required. Process submittals, shop drawings, substitution requests, change proposals and change orders. Other responsibilities as required by Management. Qualifications BS/MS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Architecture. 1-3 years of experience working in an architectural product and/or construction related field. Fundamental understanding of building construction methodology and typical equipment, machinery and rigging that is used. Proficient with MS Project (or similar) and the ability to understand, interpret and create project schedules. Proficient with MSOffice suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Proficient with PDF editing software such as Bluebeam or Adobe. Basic ability with CAD software is a plus. Able to travel as required. Able to effectively work in an office environment, production environment and job site is required.
