ComResource is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Architect.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with and support the existing Azure Architect Lead in managing enterprise-grade Azure environments including virtual networks, subscriptions, resource groups, identity and access management, and governance policies.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, ensuring repeatable, version-controlled, and auditable deployments across all environments.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent tooling to automate infrastructure deployments, application releases, and environment promotions.
• Maintain a solid understanding of Azure networking best practices including VNets, subnets, NSGs, private endpoints, DNS, and hybrid connectivity to make informed architectural decisions.
• Serve as the infrastructure architect for the Data Analytics team, ensuring cloud environments are optimized for analytics workloads, data pipelines, and reporting platforms.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Data Analytics and Infrastructure teams, aligning architectural decisions, standards, and roadmaps across both groups.
• Implement security best practices including network segmentation, encryption, role-based access control, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Maintain architectural documentation, runbooks, and infrastructure standards; contribute to internal knowledge bases and onboarding materials.

Essentials:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture or senior infrastructure engineering roles.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure including hands-on administration of core services such as Compute, Storage, Networking, Identity, Security Center, and Monitor.
• Strong proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code including module development, state management, and multi-environment configurations.
• Experience with GitHub including version control workflows and GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles, including infrastructure automation, configuration management, monitoring, and incident response.
• General understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, VPN, and hybrid connectivity patterns.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical architecture into business-relevant terms for diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working in a matrixed or dual-reporting structure, balancing priorities across multiple teams.
• Collaborative team player comfortable working across functions and adapting to evolving priorities.

Desired:

• Experience with Databricks, including workspace provisioning, cluster management, Unity Catalog configuration, and network architecture such as VNet injection and private link.
• Experience with Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, or Azure Event Hubs.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes/AKS.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Background in data governance, data security, or compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or GDPR.
