Position Title: General Manager – Manufacturing Operations

Location: St. Petersburg, FL

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Compensation and Benefits

Position Overview

The General Manager will oversee all aspects of a Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM)-focused manufacturing facility, ensuring operations run smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. This role requires a leader with experience in advanced manufacturing, robotics, or LFAM, and a proven track record of managing teams and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).

The ideal candidate will have experience in a project-oriented environment, be capable of adapting to new challenges, and consistently deliver against evolving customer requirements. The General Manager will collaborate closely with technical and management teams to integrate innovative technologies and maintain high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor and improve key operational metrics, including robot uptime, production throughput, and inventory management.

Leadership and Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing on-site team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Process Optimization

• Collaborate with technical teams to integrate and refine advanced manufacturing processes, robotics, and LFAM technologies to improve productivity and quality.

Vendor and Supply Chain Management

• Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production demands.

Strategic Planning

• Develop and implement strategies to achieve facility goals, including process improvements, cost controls, and capacity growth.
• Align operational activities with broader organizational objectives.

Quality and Compliance

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and applicable industry regulations.
• Promote a safe and compliant work environment.

Financial Oversight

• Manage budgets and resource allocation to maintain profitability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Experience

• 5–10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive experience with Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM), robotics, or advanced manufacturing processes.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Equivalent experience may be considered.

Skills

• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong understanding of operational KPIs and process optimization.
• Experience in inventory management, supply chain oversight, and vendor relations.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, solve problems quickly, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills with an open, candid, and disciplined communication style.
• Familiarity with CAD software, PLC programming, and system simulation tools is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to equipment, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) required in designated areas.
