Production SupervisorThe Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily manufacturing operations to meet production goals in alignment with safety, quality, and delivery requirements. This role oversees production staff, ensures efficient use of resources, and drives continuous improvement in manufacturing methods and processes. The Production Supervisor promotes a safe, compliant, and high-performing work environment while achieving production objectives at the lowest possible cost.Shift Available: 9th Shift Thursday - Saturday and every other Sunday 5:30pm - 6:30amResponsibilitiesSupervisor Responsibilities:Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departmentsEnsure the production schedule is attained and issues are resolved in a timely mannerMaintain quality and safety by establishing and enforcing standardsCommunicate and deliver employee communication tools for job performance to include annual performance goals, employee recognition, training, and development, coaching and counselingLead staff through visual metrics and tiered accountability meetingsMonitor staffing levels and partners with Human Resources on talent management initiativesEnforce company standards by following and enforcing policies and proceduresLead project management activities and teamsComplete special projects as neededDrive process improvements in quality, delivery, inventory, and safety proceduresEnsure work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists are used and understoodEnter production information into the ERP system on a timely basisSupport and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirementsRead, understand, and follow work instructions and standard workPartner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and financeEnsure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properlyParticipate in the Operational Excellence ProgramQualificationsRequirements:3+ years of experience leading processes and teams in a manufacturing environment, with a strong preference to have experience in the plastic injection within the medical device industryProven experience to consistently achieve short and long-term business resultsAbility to work in a cleanroom environmentClear and effective verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailOrganizational skillsMicrosoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to work in a fast-paced team environmentAbility to prioritize and multitaskPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Lean Practitioner CertificationAssociate Degree in a Business or Technical fieldSupervisory CertificatesFunctional experienceQuality and/or Operational Excellence training such as Lean, Six-Sigma, ASQ-CQE, etc.Working knowledge of ISO 9001/13485Mechanical AptitudeContinuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizationsWhat is it like to work at Cretex Medical?We recognize the contribution of every individual and promote growth, safety and security for all our employees. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions.
