Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianThis role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, physical structures, and mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, PLCs, and production machines.ResponsibilitiesVisually inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards and locate or prevent causes of malfunctions.Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems and repair machines.Work with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems.Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.Replace and lubricate gearboxes, motors, bearings, and shafts.Start machines and test operation after repair.Replace and repair water filtering systems.Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Install and maintain production machines, overhead conveyor systems, and welding equipment.Essential Skills3+ years of industrial maintenance experienceMaintenance technicianMechanicalPreventive maintenanceElectricalConveyorRoboticsTroubleshootingHydraulicsIndustrialAdditional Skills & Qualifications2-year degree in electro-mechanical program or industrial maintenanceLeadership qualities and independent thinkerElectrical experience is a plusRobotic experience is a plus for robotic welding machinesWhy Work Here?Enjoy the benefits of union membership after 90 calendar days, with benefits starting on the first of the month following 60 days from your permanent hire date.
