Preconstruction Manager

Role Description The Preconstruction Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta, GA. This role is responsible for leading the preconstruction process from initial concept through final budget approval, including developing detailed estimates, coordinating design reviews, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and analyzing project budgets, managing bid solicitations and proposal documentation, and collaborating with design teams, trade partners, and internal stakeholders to align scope, schedule, and cost. The Preconstruction Manager will review plans and specifications, assess constructability and risk, maintain historical cost data, and present clear recommendations to project leadership and clients. This position also supports continuous improvement of preconstruction standards, tools, and workflows. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Construction Estimating and Cost Management skills. Candidates should possess experience in Design Management and Budgeting for construction projects. Candidates should possess proficiency in Proposal Writing and preparation of bid packages. Candidates should possess the ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, designers, and trade partners. Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Candidates should possess proficiency with estimating software and standard construction productivity tools (e.g., Excel, project management platforms). Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
