Operating Room Registered NurseJob Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: OR RN - Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Afternoon Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: IV skills required Surgical care knowledge Robotics experience Scrubbing experience Preoperative care experience Description: Unit operates with 15 suites. Daily case volume ranges from 55 to 70. The position involves various procedures, including same-day and overnight stays. 1-2 second calls are required every schedule (a month). These involve 24-hour on-call one day on the weekend from 7 AM to 7 AM. Rotating weekend responsibilities include 8-hour shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM on Saturday or Sunday. No mandatory call or standby requirements exist. Response time for calls is set at 30 minutes. Floating requirements include holding area duties. Scrub color and dress code are provided by the facility. The working environment is a preoperative area described as a surgical center, not a free-standing surgical center. The charting system in use is Allscripts. Regular cancellations of shifts will occur as per facility policy. This role requires strong communication and collaboration within the surgical team.
