UI/UX DeveloperJob#: 3055061Job Description:UI/UX DeveloperOnsite 1-3 daysPosition OverviewSan Antonio Energy Company is seeking a tech-savvy UI/UX Developer/Programmer to help drive and advance next-generation modern digital workplace UI/UX initiatives.This individual will serve as a hands-on designer/developer and Subject Matter Expert (SME), working directly with business and technology users to develop holistic solutions for high-visibility projects.The role is heavily focused on front-end development, with responsibility for creating mobile and web experiences and interfaces. The ideal candidate should be comfortable moving between UX/UI design and hands-on front-end programming. Experience working alongside full-stack application development teams is a plus.Key ResponsibilitiesFront-End DevelopmentResearch, design, develop, test, build, and integrate front-end/UX designs into JavaScript and Java codebases.Perform hands-on development using front-end frameworks such as:Vue.jsAngularJSReact.jsjQueryDevelop reusable, responsive, and interactive UI patterns and code libraries.Create clean, semantic HTML and high-quality JavaScript/CSS following W3 and industry standards.Develop responsive websites and web applications.Write well-structured, maintainable code following development best practices.Ensure designs are technically feasible and successfully translated into production applications.Address cross-browser compatibility issues.UI/UX & DesignFunction as both a designer and developer, shifting between UI/UX design and hands-on development as needed.Design and maintain:WireframesMock-upsDesign filesUI prototypesCreate conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end-user needs.Participate in product UX strategy, conceptualization, and prioritization.Conduct or assist with usability reviews and UI testing.Validate UI/UX concepts using a data-driven approach.Apply Human-Centered Design (HCD) techniques across design, research, and usability.Accessibility & Design SystemsDevelop semantic HTML that meets WCAG and ADA/Section 508 accessibility standards.Support CPS Energy's customer-facing design system.Develop and maintain:New UI componentsPage templatesAccessibility enhancementsDefect fixesHelp ensure UI/UX interfaces meet established accessibility and design standards.Collaboration & SME ResponsibilitiesServe as a UI/UX Subject Matter Expert supporting decision-making on high-visibility projects.Collaborate with:Business analystsDevelopersSenior developersArchitectsBusiness usersTechnology usersWork within established SDLC and Agile/Scrum processes.Translate business and end-user needs into holistic technology solutions.Stay current on UI frameworks, design trends, and programming techniques.Research and recommend new tools, frameworks, and development methods when appropriate.Minimum QualificationsCandidates should have:High School Diploma or GED.Deep hands-on experience in front-end web application development and programming.Experience creating conceptual and detailed UI/UX design solutions based on end-user needs.Knowledge of design/storyboarding tools such as:Adobe Creative SuiteSketchInVisionExperience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.Experience communicating and collaborating with both business and technology stakeholders.Experience with end-to-end Human-Centered Design (HCD) practices, including:DesignResearchUsabilityPreferred QualificationsUI/UX design or web development certifications/training.Previous electric and/or gas utility industry experience.Bachelor's degree in:Computer ScienceInformation SystemsApplicable business discipline OR equivalent/relevant business and technical experience.Experience/exposure to:Vue.jsAngularJSReact.jsjQueryFamiliarity with screen-reader/accessibility tools such as:VoiceOverJAWSNVDAExperience working within Agile ceremonies and methodologies.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
