Systems Engineer

Overview Sentinel Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to support and enhance our Microsoft-centric infrastructure, with a strong focus on Azure and Microsoft 365 (O365). Responsibilities We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support and enhance our Microsoft-centric infrastructure, with a strong focus on Azure and Microsoft 365 (O365). This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running while continuing to grow within a rapidly expanding organization. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-first infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across enterprise systems. This position requires a collaborative team player with strong communication skills and a desire to learn and grow. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS) Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 (O365) including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive Support hybrid environments integrating cloud and on-premise systems Manage server infrastructure across Windows environments Security & Compliance Support and maintain security solutions (including OTS security tools) Implement best practices for identity, access, and cloud security Assist in maintaining compliance, data protection, and system integrity Systems Administration & Support Provide Tier 2/3 technical support across infrastructure systems Troubleshoot and resolve issues in cloud, server, and network environments Support Active Directory, DNS, and related services Assist with system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management Collaboration & Growth Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business operations Contribute to infrastructure improvements and modernization initiatives Participate in projects including cloud migrations and system deployments Qualifications Required Qualifications 5–6+ years of experience in systems engineering, cloud, or infrastructure roles (more senior candidates with strong skills also considered) Hands‑on experience with: Microsoft Azure Microsoft 365 / O365 administration Windows server environments Experience with cloud architecture and infrastructure design Exposure to security practices and tools Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience with hybrid cloud/on‑prem environments Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell or similar) Exposure to enterprise security tools and frameworks Relevant certifications (Azure, Microsoft 365, etc.) are a plus but not required Why Join Us Rapid company growth (2x growth in the past 3 years) with continued expansion High-impact role with visibility across the organization Opportunity to grow your career alongside evolving technology initiatives Collaborative and supportive team environment Compensation Range $90,000 – $120,000 annually Equal Employment Opportunity Sentinel is proud to be an equal opportunity employer including disability and veterans.
