Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026. Role and Department The Dietetic & Nutrition Department provides an integrated nutrition and dietetic service at The Alfred, Sandringham and Caulfield Hospitals. The joint Nutrition Department is comprised of approximately 48 EFT and 70 staff members, organized into eight clinical streams and providing a 7-day service. It uses evidence-based, patient-centred care to support Alfred Health’s patients during their healthcare journey, including prevention and treatment of malnutrition and the optimisation of nutritional wellbeing and recovery through tailored, specialised nutrition therapy. Position Grade 3 Dietitian (classification code AK1-AK4) 12-month fixed term from July 2026 Part-time (16 hours per fortnight) Outpatient focus – must be available to work Thursday Based at Sandringham Hospital Role involves establishing a new Women’s Health Clinic in collaboration with the Endocrinology Department Mentorship and supervision of Grade 1 and/or 2 Dietitians; participate in quality and/or research activities Responsibilities Deliver outpatient dietetic services with a focus on women’s health and related endocrinology needs Collaborate with nurse practitioners, endocrinologists, physiotherapists and other allied health professionals to improve access, early intervention and coordinated care Educate students and supervise junior dietitians Participate in service development and continuous quality improvement activities Qualifications and Skills Possesses qualifications providing eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia (DA) and participation in the APD program 7 years of clinical experience; specialist experience in women’s health and/or endocrinology is desirable but not essential Higher qualification in Health Professional Education, Management, Public Health or Research (highly desirable) Current driver’s license Current Working with Children Check Benefits Salary packaging & novated leasing through Maxxia Onsite car & bike parking opportunities, deducted pre-tax (subject to availability) Access to Fitness Passport network for you and your family Additional Information If applicable, please specify specific requirements that you require in your cover letter or CV.
