Cost Accountant
Location: Midlothian, TX 76065
Schedule: MondayFriday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $33$43 per hour (DOE)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our team in Midlothian, TX. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting cost data to support business decision-making, improve cost efficiency, and maintain accurate financial records within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and maintain cost information in databases of expenses

• Analyze and estimate costs for new and existing product lines

• Prepare and present regular cost reports to management

• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to establish cost standards and budgets

• Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions and process improvements

• Conduct physical inventories and monitor inventory systems

• Assist with audits and general ledger preparation

• Forecast and plan future purchasing costs based on fiscal requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree (B.A.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university

• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience and/or training

• Proven experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant, or similar role (manufacturing preferred)

• Strong understanding of risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting

• Experience with accounting software such as Oracle Fusion and Microsoft Excel

• Working knowledge of financial and accounting systems

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, technical procedures, and government regulations

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

• Excellent time management skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
