Records Management SpecialistCreating and maintaining a records management systemMaintaining Firm archivesRetrieving information from the filing system when requestedCoordinating with legal admins on filing foldersCorrectly filing folders in file number sequenceRetrieving files needed for casesAnswering file queries on location and statusUpdating file information in internal Aderant software systemPerforming data entry as to file status and locationAiding people in retrieving and filing filesScanning file information into internal DMS systemPerforming quality control on scanned filesRequesting files from offsite storagePerforming other admin tasks as indicated by the Records ManagerAbility to take on additional records tasks as neededMaintaining privacy and confidentiality by securing recordsEnsuring file area clean and tidyJob Requirements1-3 years of records experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelExperience using scanning equipment and internal DMS softwareExperience using an Electronic Records System is desirableKnowledge of Elite, Aderant and/or File Tracker records management applicationExperience in a legal records environmentAbility to lift to 40 poundsAbility to stand or sit for extended periods of timeExperience with offsite storageAbility to multi-task and prioritize daily workflowStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently or as part of a teamExcellent interpersonal skills
