We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Separator Mechanic specializing in high-speed disc-stack separators.

This position is focused specifically on the inspection, service, repair, overhaul, balancing and troubleshooting of high-speed disc-stack separation equipment .

The successful candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge of high-speed rotating equipment and ideally previous experience working with industrial disc-stack separators.

This is a hands-on mechanical position requiring excellent attention to detail, cleanliness, precision and an understanding of the importance of correct assembly, balancing and vibration monitoring when working with high-speed rotating machinery.

· High school diploma, GED, trade qualification, mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent industrial mechanical experience.

· Previous experience servicing and repairing high-speed disc-stack separators preferred.

· Strong mechanical knowledge of high-speed rotating equipment, including bearings, seals, shafts, gears, spindles and drive systems.

· Experience disassembling, inspecting and rebuilding precision mechanical equipment.

· Knowledge of separator bowl assemblies, disc stacks, operating-water systems and discharge mechanisms.

· Experience with dynamic balancing of rotating components and assemblies preferred.

· Ability to use portable vibration analysis equipment to collect, record and interpret vibration readings.

· Understanding of vibration-related faults including imbalance, bearing condition, mechanical looseness and alignment issues.

· Proficient with precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and related inspection tools.

· Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, exploded diagrams, OEM manuals and technical specifications.

· Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.

· Knowledge of correct torque procedures, fits, tolerances, clearances and precision assembly practices.

· Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, cranes, hoists and other workshop equipment.

· Good documentation and basic computer skills for completing inspection, service and maintenance records.

· Strong attention to detail, cleanliness and quality when working with high-speed rotating equipment.

· Ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems and communicate technical findings effectively.

· Commitment to safe working practices and compliance with company safety and quality procedures.
