Pharmacy Tech (Per Diem) - Direct Hire

Facility: White Plains Hospital Location: White Plains, NY Shift: Nights Varied Overnights 11p-7a including weekends and holidays Guaranteed Hours: 24 per week Employment Type: Direct Hire

Salary Range: salary low - 26.87/hr salary high - 40.32/hr Benefits: Full suite of benefits and retirement plan

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required
Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or pharmacy student currently enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy
FLU VACCINES REQUIRED - NO EXEMPTIONS
BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required
Hospital experience required
NY License Pharmacy Tech
Registered in New York State as a Pharmacy Technician as defined in Title 8, Article 137-A, Section 6844 of New York's Education Law
Maintain the continuing education requirements established by the certifying board

Position Summary:

All Pharmacy Technicians including Oncology Pharmacy Technicians and ED Pharmacy Technicians perform pharmacy functions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Duties include but are not limited to: Pharmacist support including answering phones and processing medication demands, filling patient specific medication, Cleanroom/ IV support including compliance with USP Chapter 797 and 800 procedures, filling and maintaining the automated dispensing cabinets, filling floor stock orders, filling and replacement of emergency kits, medication packaging, inventory management, performing various computer functions relating to billing, printing labels and reports and maintaining regulatory standards
