Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $2,020 per week

Position Overview Travel Nurse RN ICU – Intensive Care Unit Medical/Surgical Location: Carlsbad, NM Start date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks (36 hours per week) Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN Job Responsibilities Work 12‑hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM. Report 48 guaranteed hours per week. Float to Emergency Department and Medical/Surgical departments. Provide total care for ICU patients including ventilator management, titratable drips, and hygiene care. Assist with ER call lights, medication administration, patient transport, IV starts, and blood draws when floating to ER. Take full assignment of up to 6 patients or act as aide for up to 12 patients when floating to Med Surg. Use EMR system MedHost. Accept any color scrubs. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2+ years recent ICU bedside experience. Required certifications: BLS, ACLS. TNCC certification preferred. Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, mixing medications, and patient hygiene preferred. Patient ratio of 1:2-3 in ICU. New Mexico state fingerprinting required for all travelers. Additional Notes Minimum of 2+ years recent hospital bedside experience required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks.
