Certified Medical Assistant

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Primary CareCertified Medical Assistants will support both clinical and administrative tasks, such as taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments in our orthopedic clinic. Medical Assistants will work under the supervision of physicians and nurses in a fast-paced environment, helping to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations.ResponsibilitiesWelcome patients and prepare them for exams and procedures, ensuring a warm and professional environment.Accurately record patient information, medical histories, and vital signs in electronic health records (EHR).Assist in collecting and processing specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.Provide patients with educational information regarding procedures, treatments, and preventative care.Help manage appointments, follow-up calls, and patient communications efficiently.Will be responsible for prior authorization and checking benefit information prior to any procedureWe provide patients with detailed information regarding any test results.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic settingCurrent BLS certification upon hire and maintained currentCurrent medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization required1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting, preferredEmployment StatusFull TimeShiftDaysEqual Employment OpportunityCompany is an equal employment opportunity employer.
