RN Labor and Delivery (Full-Time, Nights)
Verovian Nursing Recruitment Agency is seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join a dynamic team in Torrance, California. As an L&D RN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process. This position is ideal for a dedicated nurse who thrives in a high-paced, emotionally rewarding environment and is committed to providing excellent maternal and infant care.
Provide direct, individualized nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit. Monitor maternal and fetal health, administer medications, and assist with epidurals or other pain management. Support obstetricians during deliveries and assist with cesarean sections when needed. Provide postpartum care and education to new mothers regarding infant care and recovery. Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and pediatric staff for optimal outcomes. Document all patient care activities accurately and timely using approved electronic medical records systems. Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and families.
Required: Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Active California Registered Nurse License upon hire. BLS (Basic Life Support) American Heart Association upon hire. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) American Heart Association upon hire. NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) American Academy of Pediatrics upon hire. Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required (preferably in Labor and Delivery or Women's Services). Preferred: National Certification in Labor and Delivery or related specialty (e.g., RNC-OB) is strongly preferred.
