Summary of Job Duties:

Engagement Center Ambassadors (Hog Callers) work for the Office of Engagement in the Division of Advancement to support fundraising and donor relations for the University of Arkansas. All ambassadors are fully trained to communicate with alumni, friends, and parents of students to carry out three main functions: confirm or update contact information; share news and updates about the university and campus events; and ask for financial support for the U of A. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn more about philanthropy and develop skills related to customer service, sales, marketing, and fundraising.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

This position will develop UA Career-Ready skills such as communication, professionalism, technology, and career and self-development.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a currently enrolled, full-time student at the University of Arkansas; All majors welcome
• Must be in good academic standing with the University
• Must be available to work at least three shifts per week during operating hours
• Must successfully complete a background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior customer service, sales, or communication-related experience
• Familiarity with university advancement or philanthropy
