Job Title: Quality Control Technician Job Description

The role of the Quality Control Technician involves ensuring the quality and compliance of materials and batches through rigorous testing and inspection. You will perform quality control checks in both the production floor and clean room environments, adhering to strict cleanliness and environmental control standards. A significant portion of your duties will include operating filler machines, assembling, inspecting, labeling, and packaging within a white room environment.

• Collect materials and batches for laboratory testing and quality control checks.
• Conduct tests to match certifications including gravity, pH, and viscosity.
• Perform in-process inspections and promptly escalate quality concerns.
• Adhere to gowning and white room behavior protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and environmental control standards.
• Operate filler machines, fill bottles, check labels, and package products.
• Perform assembly, inspection, labeling, and packaging operations.
• Record data and maintain documentation accurately.
• Verify lot numbers, traceability information, and labeling accuracy.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as directed.

• Experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in the chemical industry.
• Proficiency in chemical mixing, blending, and handling.
• Familiarity with GMP and ISO standards.
• Ability to read, write, and perform math calculations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent education.

• Capability to make decisions and administer corrective actions.
• Experience in a clean room environment.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledgeable of product characteristics and hazards as stated in the MSDS.

The position operates on a first shift schedule, initially 7am-3:30pm, with potential to shift to 6am-2:30pm after training. Overtime may be required. The work environment includes a mix of production floor, laboratory, and clean room settings, with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Joliet, IL.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Joliet,IL.
