Position Summary: We are looking for a full-time Rate Management Senior Insurance Analyst responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving the existing business operations of premium rate management and rate change communications. They perform complicated data collection & analysis, gather documentation, and support cross-departmental business process enhancement efforts. This is an exciting role for an individual who is always wanting to learn new things, likes to dabble in technology without being in an IT department, is proficient in mathematics, and is detail oriented. Key Responsibilities: Supports premium rate management, rate change communications, and related daily activities. Lead discussions to understand current problems, capture requirements, recommend solutions for automation, and prepare communications of results. Develop a deep understanding of the Company's administrative system and proactively handle data maintenance. Develop business knowledge and relationships with various departments within the Company, especially the IT department. Support ad-hoc and structured projects through creating test cases and performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Act as a subject matter expert & liaison between business and technology teams to assist with project implementations, such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and UiPath. Assist in the insourcing of product/policy information after the acquisition of a company/block of business. Reviews documentation and recommends revisions or changes to the documents. Comply with appropriate regulations and/or company policies/guidelines. In the spirit of continuous improvement, challenge the status quo and challenge others to rethink current processes, structures, policies, methodologies, and assumptions. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Experience & Skills Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Communication or a related discipline preferred; or equivalent years of experience. 5+ years of related experience. Prior insurance industry experience is strongly preferred, with Long Term Care Insurance and Supplemental Benefits experience a plus. Advanced Excel and programming skills (Power Query, VBA or SQL) is highly preferred. Experience with SAS a plus. Strong technical aptitude - ability to learn and master new software and propose automation solutions. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent listening skills. Critical thinking skills - Ability to research problems, identify the root cause and propose solutions. Must be inquisitive, innovative, and take ownership of work products. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment to meet department goals.
