MICU Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This critical care unit is dedicated to managing the complex needs of patients who are chronically ill and may require ventilation support along with intricate medication management.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to critically ill patients, including those who are COVID positive.
- Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as required.
- Experience in titrating pressors and managing IV drugs for patients in critical condition is essential.
- Handle a range of diagnoses, including hypertension urgency, sepsis, and cerebrovascular accidents (CVA).
- Be prepared to receive patients from surgical or cardiac ICUs if necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care environment.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, and NIHSS.
- Strict adherence to a 75-mile radius restriction from the facility.
This position requires a commitment to a night shift schedule, guaranteeing 48 hours per week.
