Medical Assistant Contract MarinHealth Medical Network | Novato, CA Location: 75 Rowland Way, Suite 100, Novato, CA 94945 Job Type: Contract 13 Weeks Shift: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $22/hour on W2 Start Date: May 12, 2026 Position Overview MarinHealth Medical Network is seeking Medical Assistants for a 13-week contract assignment in Novato, CA. This position is ideal for local candidates, with Epic EMR experience preferred. Responsibilities Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document visit information and symptoms. Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records. Administer injections and immunizations as ordered. Assist providers with medical procedures. Perform point-of-care testing (POCT) and required quality controls. Manage lab results, prescriptions, referrals, and patient requests through electronic task lists. Maintain accurate patient records and patient confidentiality. Disinfect exam rooms and maintain clinic cleanliness and supplies. Assist with supply ordering and inventory. Perform scope/probe reprocessing after completing required competency. Perform instrument sterilization and operate autoclave equipment. Follow OSHA, safety, and clinic procedures. Collaborate with the healthcare team and assist with additional duties as assigned. May be required to work at multiple locations. Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program (such as NHA or AMCA) required. BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. At least 1 year of related Medical Assistant experience preferred; candidates with less than 1 year may be considered. Physician office or clinical experience preferred. Reprocessing/procedural experience highly preferred. Epic experience preferred. Must be a local candidate. Applicable state license/certification must be currently active. #J-18808-Ljbffr
